Am I a good candidate for Microblading?

If you are looking for more definition to your brows, a total new shape, have over plucked or just want thicker easier low-maintenance brows then you are a good candidate. If you have oily skin please know that it will affect how your brows retain color. Micro-blading is not recommended for oily skin  and may require more touch-ups.

What is the difference between Microblading and Ombre Brows?

Microblading is the process of creating individual hair strokes, following your natural brows growth pattern,  using a manual hand tool. It is the most natural looking method and shading can be added to create definition or to fill in sparse spots . It is not recommended for people on thyroid, and certain other medications, and who have oily skin.

Powder or Ombre Brows is a technique using a machine that creates a stronger, bolder brow, that heals into a nice powdery finish like makeup.  It is a great way to fill-in brows or to cover up an old existing but faded tattoo.  Please go to our Microblading and Ombre Brow pages for more detailed information.

Do I have say in the shape and color?

Of course! We will discuss what shape is best for your brows and draw them on before the procedure. Please note that some brow shapes, as in too thin, may not be a good candidate for Micro-blading . Your color will be chosen based on your skin color and undertones and desired color. Be aware that your color will soften and fade and modifiers will be added so when mixing your color all the factors will be taken into consideration so your brows will HEAL to the desired color.

Is it painful?

I will be using a topical anesthetic before the procedure to ensure you are as comfortable as possible, however the effects vary  from person to person. Eyes and Lips are know to be more sensitive of a procedure. If you are menstruating you may be a little more sensitive. Most people experience very little discomfort during the procedure. Once the numbing has worn off, the area may be sensitive but it should not be painful.

Can I get tattooed if I have Botox or want to get Botox?

If you have or want to have Botox please be advised that it changes the shape of your brows. If you have had Botox please wait at least 2 weeks after or until it has fully worn off to get your brows done with us. If you want Botox we suggest you wait till after your tattoo is healed and I would recommend after your touch-up is healed as well. If you have had Botox at anytime I am not responsible for your shape changing and would advise you working with your doctor to even them out.

Can I wax or tweeze my brows before hand?

Please do any waxing, tinting, tweezing or threading at least a week before hand so the pores have time to close so pigment will not be deposited in them at the time of the procedure.  I would be more than happy to tweeze your brows and shape them before hand during a consultation as a complimentary service.  After the procedure please wait 4 weeks or until your brows are fully healed to wax them.
