Empress Brow & Beauty was founded in 2017 by Emily Follin, a Licensed Tattoo artist, Esthetician, Cosmetologist and Certified Makeup Artist.
The studio is a collection of artists including brow haus and matriarch pdx. Emily is the only one who operates under Empress brow and all work on this webite are solely her own.
Emily started her career in the Beauty Industry in 1998, by becoming a Certified Beauty and Special Effects Make-Up Artist at Westmore Academy, in Los Angeles. She went on to Freelance and Assist Celebrity Make-Up Artists, and in 2003 decided to become a licensed Cosmetologist. Throughout the 2000s she continued to Freelance as well as working at one of LA's trendiest Salons and Art Galleries wax poetic as a Hair Stylist.
In 2010 Emily decided to pursue other passions and became a Certified Pilates teacher as well as a Court of Master Certified Sommelier, while continuing to Freelance Part-time as a Make-up Artist. She Owned and Operated Haus of Pilates till 2013, when she decided to move to NYC.
After traveling and exploring her options she chose to move to Portland Oregon. Once settling down in Portland, she became very excited to re-enter the Beauty world and merge her love of make-up with her love of tattoos. She is a Licensed Tattoo Artist and has taken a variety of advanced courses. Her work has been featured in Glamour Magazines online article "Microblading, Microshading, and Microfeathering: What's the difference?".
